Containment is an American television series that aired on The CW from April 19 to July 19, 2016.
The series was officially cancelled on May 12, 2016, after one season.
The mysterious and lethal epidemic breaks out in Atlanta so a wide reaching urban quarantine is quickly enforced. This forces those who are stuck on the inside to fight for their lives. Meanwhile, local and federal officials desperately search for a cure.

Containment shot its pilot episode, in February and March 2015, on location in Atlanta, Georgia. Several locals were cast as extras in various scenes. By that October, the show was in regular production in the Atlanta area.
On Metacritic, the series holds an average score of 48 (out of 100 points) based on 20 critics, indicating "mixed or average reviews". Review aggregator website Rotten Tomatoes also reported mixed critical responses, averaging a 53% rating. The site's consensus reads: "Uninspired performances and pedestrian writing make Containment just another in the long line of disaster movie scenarios we've seen played out countless times before." However, Audience scores on Rotten Tomatoes have been largely positive, showing a 78% rating.
